We ended up not only finishing the project on time, but also on budget. It took us exactly 6 months to create the house of our dreams. I have heard many horror stories of people going thousands of pounds over budget and 6 months to a year over. This was not the case for us. I believe that we had the best builders for the job. There was such a great camaraderie amongst them. Finishing on time, with quality craftsmanship seemed just as important to them as it was to us. And I could sense that they all felt true ownership over the project. I am currently looking for another house to refurbish and sell because the experience was so enjoyable. And now that I have builders I can trust, that makes all the difference.

Mietek worked with us in 2009? on a 6 month project which involved extended and digging out our lower ground floor to make a new enlarged playroom, removing fireplaces and knocking through the ground floor to make a new kitchen, adding a terrace onto the garden, and plumbing and electrical work in the rest of the house.

It was a big job, involving over 20 skips, underpinning, and 15 steel beams, but the job finished more or less on time and to budget, and we are very happy with the result.

We found him and his team helpful, honest and hard-working, and he did not hesitate to come round to finish off snags and complete some subsequent jobs.
